What You'll Like:
Vegetation of Goose Island is typical of the transition area between the Great Lakes St. Lawrence and Boreal Forests, and includes Red Pine, White Pine, Red and Sugar Maple and Northern Pin Oak. Bedrock terrain best describes the geology of the site, with very little glacial deposits. The shoreline is primarily bedrock with some boulder/cobble areas.
Location: Goose Island lies in Rainy Lake approximately 12 km northeast of Fort Frances.
