Park Notice
Photography / Digital device use:
In order to respect the spiritual and ceremonial dignity of the Petroglyphs site, photography and the use of digital devices is not permitted at the glyph site. Visitors are asked to keep cell phones in their pockets at the site. Photography is permitted throughout the rest of the park.
Dogs:
The indigenous community has requested that dogs not be present at the Petroglyphs site. Visitors intending to bring their dog are advised to bring another human companion to take turns waiting with the dog while the other person enters the Visitor Centre or walks down to the glyph site. There are benches available 100m up the path from glyph site where visitors can alternate waiting with their dog. Dogs are permitted throughout the rest of the park as long as they are on leash and under control.
Swimming:
In order to protect the fragile ecosystem of this unique lake, swimming is prohibited at McGinnis Lake.
Hiking:
Visitors are asked not to start any hiking trails after 3:00 pm as there is not time to complete the trails before 5:00 pm when visitors are asked to leave the park.
Please arrive well before 3:00 pm if planning to go for a hike.
