Discovery Program
Bronte Creek Provincial Park offers two interpretive centres. Spruce Lane Farm and Farmhouse, located close to parking lot F in the day use area, showcases what life for the early farmer (1890 -1905) must have been like. Many demonstrations and special events highlight this one-of-a-kind living history museum. A variety of heritage farm animals, typical of what you might find on 1900's farm, can be found in the pastures or in the restored barns.
The Nature Centre is located next to the big Red Play Barn and Children’s Farm closest to parking lot C in the day use area. Displays feature the unique natural elements of the park: ravine and creek, field and forest. Kids love to visit with our turtles and explore interactive displays in our discovery room. Many daily programs in the summer start here at the Nature Centre.
The Children's Farm and Playbarn is next door to the Nature Centre and is a highlight of many visitors 10 years and younger. The big red Playbarn is open year-round and features indoor play equipment where kids can jump, climb, and slide. We do not rent it to private groups.
Family programs and events are offered year-round.
