Arrowhead Provincial Park

Barrier Free

There are barrier free showers and washrooms stalls at all comfort stations.

The accessible dock was installed in 2024 and has a feature where paddlers can position their boat onto slick plastic bars under the water and mount/dismount using the two floating docks on either side, as well as a handlebar to assist with stability. An accessible canoe and kayak are available to rent at the Visitor Centre/Park Store.

Comfort Station(s)

There are four comfort stations (complete with showers and flush toilets) throughout the park. Each is located centrally in a campground. East River Campground has two comfort stations, one of which (The Mini Comfort Station) is located at the beginning of the campground, across from the trailer fill and dump station. The Mini Comfort Station is open year-round and services the cabins and day users in the winter. It is also conveniently located at the skating trail head.

Day Use

Picnic areas can be found along the beaches.

Flush Toilets

All comfort stations are equipped with flush toilets. All privies in Roe Campground and many in East River Campground have flush toilets.

Park Store

The park store is open year round. Located in the visitor center you will find grocery and locally baked goods, local artisan and vendor offerings, camping equipment, Ontario Parks and Arrowhead gear, books, ice cream, and much more!

The park store also provides rentals during spring, fall and winter seasons.

Pet Exercise Area(s)

he Pet Exercise Area is located at the north end of Arrowhead Lake; dogs must remain leashed in this area and may use the water. Additionally, the dog beaches are located on either side of the bridge, adjacent to Beach 1, where dogs can swim with their owners while leashed.

Picnic Shelters

A group picnic shelter in the day use area accommodates 50 – 100 people and can be reserved for birthday parties, reunions, gatherings or any other special event. Reservations can be made online or by phone.

Rentals

In the summer months: canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards can be rented from the Visitor Centre. There are also PFDs, helmets, and an accessible canoe and kayak available to rent.

In the winter months: ice skates, snowshoes, classic and skate-skis can be rented at Arrowhead’s Pavilion, beside the Visitor Centre. You will also find helmets, sit skis and an ice sledge for rent.

Trailer Dump / Fill Stations

A trailer fill and dump station is available at the entrance to East River Campground. This station opens in the spring and closes when the ground freezes. There is an additional water fill station located at the Mini Comfort Station which is available year-round, across the road from the fill/dump station.

Visitor Centre

Our Visitor Centre/Park Store is a one-stop-shop. The gate house at the park’s entrance is now closed. All permit transactions will be completed out of the Visitor Centre. During the summer, the Visitor Centre houses our summer rentals and Park Store. You will find camping supplies, food, and souvenirs here. In addition, speak to us about your conference service needs.

During the wintertime, the Visitor Centre is used as a warm-up and lounge area, where visitors can sit by the fireplace after enjoying the outdoors. The winter rentals are completed out of the Pavilion, which is beside the Visitor Centre. You can rent skis, ice-skates and snowshoes, as well as helmets and accessible equipment.
