SUMMARY:Discover the Mattawa River: Big Canoe Tour *Pre-Registration Required*
DESCRIPTION:Paddle back in time in a replica Big Canoe to explore the history of the Canadian fur trade and its lasting impacts while creating lasting memories. This 3-hour tour includes a break at a hidden waterfall\, giving you the chance to take photos\, have a snack\, or go for a swim!  \n\nThere is a maximum of 10 participants per tour.   \n\nFor more information or to register\, please email Discovery.SamueldeChamplain@ontario.ca or call the park at 705-744-2276.  \n\nPre-Registration is required.  \n\nRegistration closes at 7:00 pm the day before the tour. In 2026\, tours are available at no extra cost for campers and day users (with valid daily vehicle permit or Ontario Parks Pass). A $25 deposit per person will be held during registration. Deposits will be automatically refunded to participants following attendance of the program. Registrants will be notified by phone if the tour is cancelled due to severe weather or low registration.   \n\nTo pre-register\, please visit or call the Park Store (705-200-9509).
