Six Mile Lake Provincial Park

Barrier Free

Barrier-free access is available at the shower building and comfort station. We offer two barrier-free electrical campsites in Birch Campground (#213 and #215) and two non-electrical barrier-free campsites in Maple Campground (#129 and #130).

Boat Launch(es)

A boat launch is centrally located within the park. The park also offers limited dock spaces to registered campers on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are not camping in the park, you must purchase a Daily Vehicle Permit (Day Pass) to access the boat launch.

Comfort Station(s)

The shower building located across from the main day use area and picnic shelter, is close to Pine, Cedar, Birch and Lakeview Campgrounds, has washrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The comfort station located just past the entrance into Maple Campground is within walking distance to the beach and close to Poplar, Oak and Maple Campgrounds, has washrooms, showers and laundry facilities.

Day Use

Picnicking opportunities are available with both sunny and shady areas overlooking the park’s beaches with a view of picturesque Six Mile Lake. All areas are within walking distance to toilets and drinking water taps.

Obtain your daily vehicle permit up to five days in advance to guarantee your day use spot at this park.

Drinking Water Taps

Conveniently located throughout the park in all campgrounds and day use areas. Reflective blue and white signs with image of water tap indicate their location as well the park map. Water quality is monitored daily, sampled and tested according to legislation.

EV Charging Station

Six Mile Lake has a double charging station capable of charging two vehicles side by side. The charging station is only available during park operating dates. Charging stations are not accessible in the Winter. The charging station is a class 2 charger (requires a few hours to fully charge).

Flush Toilets

Available at the shower building and comfort station.

Laundromat

Laundry facilities are located at the shower building and comfort station.

Park Store

Located just down from the park office, the park store is your most convenient location for basic food staples, snacks, candy, ice cream, souvenirs, merchandise, ice, firewood and camping supplies. The store also offers a propane cylinder exchange service. Open from May until October (Thanksgiving weekend).

Pet Exercise Area(s)

Located in the main day use area just below the picnic shelter the park has a pet exercise beach area. Check the park map for location. This is the only public beach in the park where pets are permitted.

Picnic Shelters

A covered group picnic shelter with hydro overlooking the lake is located in the main day use area close to washrooms, drinking water tap, and beach volleyball court. Accommodates 10-25 people.

Playground

Located in the picnic area at Birch Beach the children will surely enjoy spending time playing on two playground structures while overlooking Six Mile Lake with plenty of shade or sun. Cool off afterwards with a swim on the beach or picnic by the shore. Toilets and drinking water tap close by.

Rentals

Canoes, kayaks and standup paddle boards may be available for rent at the park store in the spring and fall, or the rental building at Canoe Beach in the summer months, weather pending.

The park participates in the personal floatation devices (PFDs) loaner program.

Trailer Dump / Fill Stations

Two potable water fill towers, accessible from either side of the road located behind the park office parking lot as well a single trailer sanitation station for paying users.
