Natural Features

This stretch of shoreline on Wanapitei Lake contains some sandy plains and gently rolling rockland, with various stream valleys leading to the lake. The park is protected for its variety of site conditions, forest types, and minor vegetation communities.

Park Facilities and Activities

There are no visitor facilties. Visitors to the park will find good swimming, fishing and wildlife viewing.

NOTICE OF CLOSURE

The portion of Bonhomme Point utilized for camping within Wanapitei Provincial Park (also known as the North River) located at UTM coordinates 5181804.21 north and 518531.18 east will be closed to the public under section 8(e) of Ontario Regulation 347 of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act.  Effective August 16th, 2010 camping on Bonhomme Point including day use is prohibited.   For more information please contact 705-966-0562.
